This photo was taken from an overlook at Bryce Canyon, Utah, in February 2013. It was my first photo taken with a tracking mount. On this occasion I used a homemade barn-door tracker. The foreground tracking blur is somewhat hidden by the complexity of the scene. This is a single exposure with a Canon 350D, processed only for straightening and color balance. The focus is imperfect, and after this experience I decided to upgrade both my camera and tracking system to more sophisticated equipment.
