About

My name is Chris Winstead. This weblog presents a random sampling of my interests, particularly my love of  reason, the scientific worldview and the night sky. I also occasionally write about social, moral or political topics, and on special occasions I may dive into more technical subjects in information science and engineering — particularly cognitive science, probabilistic reasoning and highly random systems (biochemical computation and genetic circuits).  I also happen to be an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University.
